Tena Koutou Katoa and Welcome to "The 27 Things Adventure"

Whakapapa - Origin

Our 27 Things Adventure has been adapted from the PLCMC's Learning 2.0 project designed by Helene Blowers, Technology Director of Melbourne Australia and Stephen Abram's article, 43 Things I might want to do this year along with the website 43Things.

Kaupapa or Purpose of this Wiki

This is a collaborative learning space where staff and students of PeaK-ICT can work alongside other invited local, national and global participants as Learning Leaders. The 27 Things Adventure will:
  • encourage the exploration of Web 2.0 and new technologies
  • provide participants with a number of tools that are freely available on the Internet

How to Begin

  • If you are interested in participating, please email jeanettem1@rocketmail.com or add your e-mail, website or URL link to our discussion page
  • Your name will then be added to our list of participants, students or invited guests

What Next?

  • Begin by introducing yourself, leaving some contact information and your blog URL (if you have one already) on our discussion board
  • Click on 'The 27 Things' page for a list of all the discoveries
  • Start from Day 1 and complete all 27 'Things'
  • There are two ways that you can reflect on each 'Thing' (1) post an entry to a page set up for you within this blog or (2) create and use your own blog/wiki page - just remember to link and/or let us know what the URL will be
  • Each 'Thing' is designed to be a self-discovery, sellf-managing discovery
  • If you want help, leave a comment on the discussion board or contact Jeanette or another participant
  • It is encouraged that you write a weekly summary post on your blog
  • Informal thoughts can be placed on our home page discussion board
  • Remember to give regular feedback and feed forward to other participants' by visiting their blogs and leaving informative comments
